Last month, I was sitting in a meeting with my amazing team. We were discussing the long list of exciting projects I had planned this month from investment opportunities to new blog content.
Then the coronavirus pandemic hit.
And it hit hard.
We are currently 13 days into our country’s 21-day lockdown and I think it’s safe to say that the extreme nature of our preventative measures is hard to adjust to.
But adjust we must.
As a business owner, the COVID-19 epidemic is a threat not only to my physical health, but to my career trajectory and livelihood, as well.
Instead of burying my head in the sand I pivoted. I met with my business coach, called fellow real estate investors and changed my company’s marketing strategy. Instead of offering a paid course, I created a free ebook. Instead of publishing a plethora of unrelated real estate-themed blog posts, I set that content aside and started talking about the effects of COVID-19 on the real estate industry.
Adaptability is one of the most important traits in a real estate investor.
However, when it comes to global pandemics and real estate investments, there is much more you need to know.
I know- it may seem counterintuitive to be talking about investing in a time like this. But the reality is that this crisis won’t last forever- and what will your finances look like then?
